William M. Shelly was appointed as a member of the Authority by Governor David Paterson on August 12th, 2010.
Mr. Shelly worked in his family's electric construction company for over 20 years before retiring as Vice President.
He has been a member of the International Union of Operating Engineering Local 545 since 1977. In 2001, he was appointed Business Representative and holds the position of Vice President on Local 545's Executive Board.
He is a member of the Fort Drum Regional Liaison Organization, Northern Corridor Transportation Group and The Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties' Central Trades and Labor Council.
Mr. Shelly oversees the Shelly Electric Endowed Scholarships at Clarkson University and Potsdam College.
Mr. Shelly has served as a member of the Authority Board since August 12, 2010.
