Release Date:
Mon, 10/17/2011

The Development Authority of the North Country would like to announce the continuation of their Non-Ambulatory Big Game Hunting Program for 2011. In its second year, the Development Authority of the North Country has developed this program to help manage the deer population in the area of the regional landfill through the provision of a recreational opportunity to non-ambulatory recreational hunters. This opportunity is being extended to North Country residents that have a permanent physical condition that severely impairs their mobility. These individuals are fully capable of hunting big game but have restricted ability to access land for a quality hunting experience. This hunting program is an effort to provide access and amenities to provide these individuals a safe and successful recreational opportunity.
