Development Authority Customers,
We hope you are doing well and staying safe during these challenging times. Although in some instances we have altered the way we do business in order to protect both you and our employees, we continue to provide the essential services that you count on in terms of water and wastewater treatment plant operation, telecommunications and materials management.
All Authority personnel continue to work, although, in accordance with Governor Cuomo’s directive, many are working from home for now. As we mentioned in a previous communication, in compliance with social distancing guidelines, staff are not attending meetings and visitors are not permitted at any Authority facilities. As are many of you, our employees are conducting their business electronically or on the telephone. We will continue to operate in this status in compliance with state and federal directives and for as long as these directives are in place.
While we are prioritizing emergency responses right now, if you have a service need or an upcoming project, please discuss it with your Authority contact to begin planning and prioritizing as we all move forward toward the other side of this crisis.
We continue to do all we can under these constraints to meet your needs. If we are not meeting your current needs, please reach out to either myself or your Authority contact. Along with the rest of world, we hope that we can all get back to normal business as quickly as possible, however, the Authority recognizes that each of us has a responsibility to do our part to help control the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the most vulnerable among our population.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
James W. Wright
Executive Director
