The Development Authority of the North Country (Authority) is accepting applications for a full time Accountant I for the Watertown, New York office. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.
ABOUT THE POSITION: The Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Comptroller with the financial operations of the Authority’s 14 operating divisions to include: reconciliations, processing and support of financials and year end audit preparation, quarterly payroll tax reports, along with providing support and assistance to the Accounting Associate position.
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with 5+ years’ experience; or equivalent years of experience in General Accepted Accounting principles (GAAP), accrual base accounting, fixed asset accounting.
