Dennis Mastascusa was originally appointed a member of the Development Authority of the North Country Board of Directors by the Lewis County Board of Legislators, on February 10, 2016.

Mr. Mastascusa is a resident of and small business owner in Lowville since 1983.  H served as President/Owner of National Abstract, a real estate title and title insurance company serving Central and Northern New York until November 2025 when he sold his business.  He still works as a licensed title agent for National Abstract.  Mr. Mastascusa is a member of New York State Land Title Association and previously served as a member of the American Land Title Association, and is a New York State Licensed Title Insurance Agent.

Mr. Mastascusa holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior and was a Lowville Academy Central School District Board of Education Member for 17 years. Mr. Mastascusa served on the Lewis County Board of Legislators from 2000 through 2003, serving as Board Chairman from 2000 to 2003. He is a member of the Snow Belt Housing Inc. Board of Directors and the Lowville Lions Club. Mr. Mastascusa was awarded a Melvin Jones Fellow for dedicated service, and was also recognized as the Lewis County Business Person of the Year for 2015.

Mr. Mastacusa’s current term runs from February 1, 2024 until January 31, 2028.
